The first step to prepare the Easter thread It will consist of mixing the flour with the yeast, the sugar, a pinch of salt, the butter at room temperature, 4 eggs and vanilla essence to taste. You will need a container large enough to be able to knead it without problem, since you can start beating with some manual rods or mixer, but then you must do it with your hands.

2

On the other hand, you must cut the candied or polished fruit into small pieces. You can choose the one you like best: orange, cherries, plums, pears ... and you must add it to the dough you have prepared. Mix well so that they are distributed throughout the pasta that will become the Easter roscón.

You can let the dough rest for a while to rise, especially if you have used baking flour instead of baking powder. Then you must ring your Easter thread and place it on the tray where you are going to bake it, previously enmantecada.

4

Then you must lay a whole egg -without removing the shell but very clean- on the mass of the Easter roscón, pressing so that it fits well. Then you will have to let the dough rest a little more so that it has just risen and then paint it with beaten egg.

5

The next step for the elaboration of the Easter thread will be cover it with custard to taste and put it in the preheated oven at 180ºC for about 20 minutes. Even so, you should keep checking so that the roscón is not burned, and check if it is made by sticking a stick or some other utensil in the dough to verify that it comes out clean.

6

Finally you can decorate the Easter thread with more candied fruit and ... bon appetit!
